Worldwide Climate & Justice Education Week

Planting hope.

Asset 8_2x.png

We activate educational communities to engage in interdisciplinary conversation and action on climate and justice through coordinated climate education on a global scale.

Brand Design

Logos and Graphics

When I was hired to the team in 2021 my first task was to assemble a brand for the organization. Considering the international scale the graphic logo required sensitivity as some images can mean different things to different countries and people.

Website Design

Multilingual, Accessible, Bite Sized.

Most of the users for the website come from an academic background, and might be used to reading long paragraphs. However as we pushed for more community and student participation I re-oriented the website to be scannable, graphic, and prioritize shorter copy.

Email Marketing

Growing to 5000+ Contacts in 3 years.

Most of the programs organizing happens through individual emails and webinars supported by weekly newsletters. In addition to maintaining a 40% open rate and 5% CTR the email strategy has enabled us to reach our goals of hosting hundreds of events worldwide.

Our 2023 Impact:

Imagining Our Future

In 2023 I encouraged the team to sit down and think critically about our goals before setting out into the next season of our work. I led 3 strategy sessions where we turned our program from a series of ideas into a solid plan. Together we outlined who was responsible for what goals, when parts of the work were expected to be completed, and aligned ourselves on a clear shared mission to guide our 2024 season of Climate & Justice events.

By setting clear actionable goals like the ones below our small team has been able to get more done than ever before.

Our Goals

Recruit and Guide institutions to participate in the Worldwide Climate and Justice Education Week (First week in April 2024)

  • Developing resources

  • Planning our calendar of webinars

  • Updating our website to represent our new curriculum

Demonstrate Justice in our work by providing more speaking opportunities and partnering with orgs led by Indigenous and Front Line communities in our programming and resources.

We recognized the importance of dedicating time and resources to DEI work more intentionally, and made that a focus for 2024.

Develop Youth Leadership by mentoring young people to become strong organizers through C2C, Webinars, and community meetings in plans of participating in Climate Education Week

  • Developed events, programming, and digital materials to facilitate climate conscious activities on campus that proved replicable with procedural documenting.

  • Explained water, waste, and food systems to campus community to enable an informed social environment for continued action. Built repeatable processes for this work to be continuous.

  • Set goals for the management of 15 team members which led to tangible impact in our community and energized individuals to continue to pursue change outside of work hours.
